The Department of “Geodynamics and Tectonics” was established on the basis of the Decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on May 11, 2016 “On measures to further improve the activities of the National University of Uzbekistan” No. 2527 and the decision of the extraordinary meeting of the University Council No. 10 on May 14, 2016.

Several practical grants are being implemented under the leadership of professor of the department Kha.A.Toychiev.

1. International grant of 200,000 dollars in cooperation with the Ministry of Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic “Creation of a mejdissiplinarnogo, mnogofunksional’nogo centra komp’yuternogo modelirovaniya 3D Geomodelirovanie”.

2. Grant F3 “Modeling of geodynamic processes and phenomena using GIS technologies (in the example of separate sections of the Chirchik river valley)” is conducting scientific-research works.

3. UZB-Ind-2021-79 “Study of the dynamics of the degradation process of glaciers in the mountain ranges of Uzbekistan based on remote sensing” is an international grant in cooperation with India.
