Ulugbek Rashitov, student of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activities of the National University of Uzbekistan, went down in history as the first Uzbek taekwondo athlete to become a two-time Olympic champion.
Competing in the 68 kg weight category, our athlete won the gold medal, defeating Jordanian Zaid Karim in the final with a score of 2:0. The most proudful thing is that the anthem of Uzbekistan was played in honor of Ulugbek Rashitov in Paris.
We especially note that Ulugbek is a clear example for many students with his talent, potential, knowledge and upbringing at the university.
The great team, as well as students of the National University of Uzbekistan, wholeheartedly congratulate the student of the Faculty of Taekwondo and Sports Activities, the pride of Uzbekistan, Ulugbek Rashitov, on this brilliant victory.
We wish our athlete successful performances at the upcoming Olympic Games and become the owner of unique records in the history of world taekwondo,
