Based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No 311 dated April 27, 2018, the “Center for the Development of Nanotechnology” was established at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek. Pursuant to the decision No. 640 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 12, 2021, the Center for the Development of Nanotechnology at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek was established in the form of a state institution with the status of a legal entity on the basis of the “Center for the Development of Nanotechnology”.
1. The following were defined as the main tasks and directions of activity of the Center:
– analysis of modern global trends in the development of nanotechnologies, formation of priorities for scientific research and development;
– preparation and implementation of fundamental and practical scientific research and innovation projects by organizing temporary creative teams from the scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculties, laboratories and other departments of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek in the established priority areas of scientific research and development in the field of nanotechnology;
– scientific research in the field of nanotechnologies together with foreign higher education, research institutions and other organizations organization of cooperation in carrying out research and development and involvement of foreign scientists in scientific research carried out at the Center;
– Implementation of activities aimed at accelerating the development of nanotechnologies by organizing and holding international scientific conferences and symposia, internships of the Center’s specialists in leading scientific research and higher educational institutions abroad;
– development and implementation of projects on the integration of fundamental and applied science with the educational process, including the involvement of students in scientific research and creation of developments in the field of nanotechnologies, as well as conducting research, laboratory and course work in the scientific equipment of the Center’s laboratories, undergraduate and conducting production and pre-diploma internships of master’s students, ensuring that doctoral students carry out scientific research.
– The structure of the Nanotechnology Development Center at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek was approved in accordance with the annex.
