The Faculty of Social Sciences (the Faculty of Philosophy and Economics until 1991, the Faculty of Philosophy until 1991-2014) was established in 1979, and since 2014 it has been called the Faculty of Social Sciences. Initially, the department of philosophy, psychology, economics, and political science operated in the faculty.
The Faculty of Social Sciences has deeply acquired knowledge and skills aimed at educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, forming a sense of courage in them, mastering foreign languages in order to convey the social, spiritual and political reforms implemented in Uzbekistan to the minds of different layers of the population, It is one of the basic faculties that prepare qualified bachelors and masters who can be an example to young people with their spiritual image.
32 doctors of science (DcS)-professors, 47 candidates of sciences (PhD)-associate professors, 47 senior teachers, teachers and assistants work in the faculty.
More than 4,000 students study at the bachelor’s level, 450 graduate students at the master’s level, and more than 50 researchers study at the doctoral and basic doctoral studies.
